We brought some rare cheeses for you!!

In Miran stores you will find unique cheeses from small producers from Greece and abroad all year round... but there are also some cheeses that are very rare and produced in limited quantities... so we made sure to bring them for you to enjoy during the holidays!!! Don't forget, however, that they are in limited quantities!!!

Σπάνια τυριά Μιράν

The small family-run Occeli cheese factory is located in the Piedmont region of Italy, and produces excellent mixed milk cheeses that reflect the terroir and traditional cuisine of the region. The cow, goat and sheep milk for these cheeses comes from small farms in the area.
The proportions of milk types in cheeses vary depending on the availability of each milk, reflecting the seasonality of the animals' natural lactation cycles.
The cheeses are aged on shelves made of various varieties of local wood, in both natural and artificial caves in the mountain town of Valcasotto.

Occeli con Frutta e Grappa di Moscato cheese is a blend of sheep's and cow's milk aged for 12 months and enriched with grappa. Thick and textured with an aromatic, bold aroma due in part to the grappa soaking. Its distinctive flavor is due to the aging that highlights the aromas of the herbs contained in the local milk and the dried fruits overflow with the earthy freshness of a summer breeze...

l'Occelli® al malto d'orzo e whisky

a rare Italian cheese with barley malt and whiskey!!!

Occelli with barley malt and whiskey is a cheese made from a mixture of cow's milk - sheep's or cow's - goat's milk depending on availability per season. It matures in unique underground rooms with ideal conditions in the Pamparato area, for about 3 months and is then immersed in wooden barrels with malt whiskey and barley grains. It will remain in the barrels for at least another three to 5 months until it acquires the desired acidity, aroma and color...

Occelli® with Barolo

an "intoxicating" Italian cheese aged with wine and Barolo grapes!!!

Beppino Occelli creates cheese in the Lange region where the alpine pastures provide rich food for the local cows, goats and sheep. Known as formaggio ubriaco or “drunken cheese”, this Piedmontese specialty is aged in traditional wooden barrels containing the skins of Barolo wine. The marinade leaves a purple stain that gradually permeates the cheese skin, leaving a very distinctive wine barrel flavour. The flavours of the cheese and grapes blend to create a flavour that is creamy, sweet, vinous, buttery and sharp all at once...
